Nautical styling has been everywhere recently, and it doesn't look likely to go away soon. Stripes in all shades of red, blue, white and black will remain popular this season, so feel free to recycle pieces from other seasons.

Natural, Light Fabrics
Opt for natural light fabrics. What you're after here is silk and cottons, they will breathe and you will feel a noticeable relief. Loose silk dresses that nip in or have a self-belt at the waist are the perfect choice. At the beginning of Summer I frequent stores including Country Road & Witchery as they get this look right. If you're looking at investing in a high-end piece, try Willow and Scanlan & Theodore.
Get Back to Basics
Your basics are going to get you through this Summer. Basic tee’s, singlets, tanks paired with your favourite denim shorts are going to be your savior. Remember, make sure the tees are breathable – cotton / silk and don’t be too conservative with your shorts…baggy instead of tight is a key look this season. I also recommend trying an untailored wrap short. They are generally flattering on every body shape. Bonus!
Feet First
Swap out your strappy heals for a pair of wedges as feet tend to sweat and lots of straps will rub and can cause blisters. Also, ditch the rubber thongs this season and pick up a pair of simple leather sandals. You will always looks dressier and they will look great worn in. Favourites at the moment include Ancient Greek Sandals - I'm living in these at the moment.
And, always keep your favourite perfume in your bag – a quick spritz is great to freshen up.
